A woman returns from the supermarket across the street from our apartment complex in Herndon.
“Oh the weather outside is frightful….”
Well, we have been here officially one week and just like on moving day last Saturday, it is snowing. This time, just like the news keeps saying, it is an epic and maybe historic snowfall.
It is not really safe or conceivable to make it into D.C. for photos, but I am sharing some of the ones from where we are living in Herndon. I now remember why I moved to South Carolina from Pittsburgh almost 20 years ago.

The snowbound shopping center across the street from our apartment complex.

A man braves the elements in Woodland Park Crossing in Hendon.

Starbucks at Woodland Park Crossing... CLOSED.

Harris Teeter at Woodland Park Crossing... OPEN! Provisions right across the street!

My wife, Jenny, making her way through the 20 inches of snow that has fallen so far.

A busy main road through Herndon is deserted at 1:00 in the afternoon.

There is going to have to be some serious digging to get the cars out.
Welcome to the Washington DC Metropoliton region!!
Rachel says she LOVES the first one. And we both enjoyed the whole show. Nice.
Will be putting up some images from the storm later. Going out at dusk later for a shot or two.
Peace brother.
