Our newspaper is covering the tragedy in Haiti, but like most papers, we rely on the wire services for photos and stories.

I know this should be a place where I write about my own original thoughts, but this needs to be an exception. I was reading my friend, Scott Strazzante’s blog today and he has a piece from the other day titled “Reflections.”

Scott is an award-winning photojournalist with the Chicago Tribune, and he has some thoughts on the tragedy in Haiti.

As I was reading this train of thought about his feelings about the Haiti earthquake and not being one of the photojournalists on the ground there covering the disaster, I realized that I had most of those same thoughts. Then I realized that he said it better than I probably ever could.

So instead of reading my ramblings on the subject, go and read Scott’s. He is much more eloquent and I could not agree more with what he says.
