I only remember having italian mush two times. Once was over 20 years ago at my grandmother’s home in Aliquippa and the second time was at my aunt and uncle’s home a few miles from my grandmother’s home about 10 years ago. The cooking process and wonderful flavors leave a lasting impression.

We are on a short vacation to visit my parents who moved recently from South Carolina to Pennsylvania near where they grew up. They are now close to my aunt and uncle (dad’s sister) and my cousins. They invited us over for dinner and served up a great childhood memory.

Sitting around the table having a feast. Yep, it is eaten right off the board. My wife, Jenny is taking a big bite.

Then, the desert.

While outside....
