Well I ventured out into the storm today to see what I could find near my home. Here are some of the images from downtown Herndon and Dulles Airport. The snow has stopped now but the winds are pretty strong.

I decided to take a stroll around tonight to see if there was anything interesting to photograph after the snow stopped falling. There were a lot of people out in our apartment complex digging out their cars. Something that I will have to get busy with if I want to get to the city tomorrow for more snow photos.

For some reason this always looks prettier in real life.

“Oh the weather outside is frightful….”

Well, we have been here officially one week and just like on moving day last Saturday, it is snowing. This time, just like the news keeps saying, it is an epic and maybe historic snowfall.

It is not really safe or conceivable to make it into D.C. for photos, but I am sharing some of the ones from where we are living in Herndon. I now remember why I moved to South Carolina from Pittsburgh almost 20 years ago.
